Decent airport for it being one of DR’s smaller airports. I’ve been here a couple of times, my most recent visit I spent more time here. Please BEWARE there are several shops without prices on any of the items including food and beverage! They will charge you 5x the value. I paid close to 25 USD for a small wine and regular sized juice. The bar is nice, reasonable prices there. The duty free shop is great- 60 for white henny and at another gift shop I find a full 750ml bottle of one of the local rums for just 10 USD. Overall, the airport is okay. Very crowded and congested but the lines move quick, at Wendy’s I couldn’t believe how fast it moved they have a lot of workers. Good variety of places to eat fast food, didn’t see any restaurants or ones that serve local dishes, but maybe there was one. Passed through security pretty quick, line is long and kinda slow for the automated passport control, partially due to people not moving up to an empty lane and waiting to be told. Bathroom facilities were okay. Easy process getting on and off the plane, just walk from the gate but I saw some flights needed a shuttle bus for passengers.
